One more employee of JUST sacked: Context fake certificates
According to the report of the investigation board formed after finding fake certificate of another employee of Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), it has been decided to dismiss him from the job as capital punishment. This decision was taken at the 93rd meeting of the Board of Regents, the highest policy-making forum of JUST, on Monday afternoon.
Prior to this, the Committee on Charter Verification submitted its report to the Board of Regents. Later, a board of inquiry was formed according to the prevailing law and order of the university. According to the report of the board of inquiry in the meeting of the board of regents, the decision of dismissal was taken against the employee who had a fake certificate. Many members of the Board of Regents attended the meeting virtually and in person.
It was informed in the meeting of the Board of Regents, as the certificate of Md. Sumon Hossain, Office Assistant of the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology (SSC, Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Jashore) was proved to be fake, as per the recommendation of the Board of Inquiry, it was decided to dismiss him from the university as a capital punishment. In addition, the Technical Officer of the Department of Environmental Science and Technology (EST) has been charged with forgery. Zahid Hasan (B.Sc., National University) was earlier dismissed from the university due to corporal punishment. However, when the Hon'ble High Court issued a stay against the university's decision, his punishment was overturned. Later, when the university appealed against this status quo, the Appellate Division issued an order suspending the judgment of the High Court. As a result there is currently no legal bar to impose punishment against Zahid Hasan, his dismissal was upheld in the 93rd meeting of the Board of Regents.

Salimullah, Director and Chief Scientific Officer of Savar Atomic Energy Research Institute Dr. SM Asaduzzaman, Chief Scientific Officer of Regional Agricultural Research Institute of Jashore Dr. Kawsar Uddin Ahmed, member of Bangladesh Accreditation Council Professor Dr. Md. Golam Shahi Alam, UGC Professor Dr. Sharif Enamul Kabir, Chief Executive Officer and Senior Consultant of Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital and Research Institute Dr. M. A. Rashid, Chairman of Jashore Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Dr. Ahsan Habib, Professor of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department Dr. Syed Md. Ghalib, Associate Professor of Accounting and Information Systems (AIS) Department. Md. Mehdi Hasan, Principal of Government Michael Madhusudan College Professor Morjina Akhtar, Secretary of Regent Board and Registrar of JUST, Engineer Md. Ahsan Habib and others were also present.
